Installing Perl modules

To install a Perl module with TurnUpHosting, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your TurnUpHosting account.
  2. Once logged in, navigate to the cPanel dashboard by following the guide in Accessing cPanel.
  3. In the cPanel dashboard, search for the "Perl Modules" tool. The location of this tool may vary depending on the theme you are using.                                                                                                                                                                       cPanel - Software - Perl Modules icon
  4. Once you find the "Perl Modules" tool, click on it to open it.
  5. On the Perl Modules page, you will see the "Module Install Path" section. Make sure the listed path is correct. For TurnUpHosting servers running Perl 5, the correct path should be "/home/username/perl5".
  6. Now, you can proceed with installing the desired Perl module. There are a few ways to do this:
    • If you know the name of the module, you can directly type it in the "Install a Perl Module" field and click "Install Now".
    • You can also search for a Perl module by typing its name in the "Find a Perl Module" text box and clicking "Go". Scroll down the list of results and click the "Install" link next to the desired module.
    • Another option is to click the "Show Available Modules" button, browse the list of modules, and click the "Install" link next to the module you want to install.
  7. After the installation is complete, you can go back to the previous page by clicking "Go Back".
  8. The installed Perl module will now be listed under the "Installed Perl Module(s)" section.
  9. If you need to update, reinstall, or uninstall the module, you can do so by clicking the respective links next to the module name.
  10. To access the documentation for the module, click "Show Docs".
  11. If you want to view a list of modules installed systemwide, click "Show System Installed Modules".

That's it! You have successfully installed a Perl module using TurnUpHosting.
