Accessing Web Disk on Apple Operating Systems

To access a Web Disk using Mac OS X, follow these steps:

  1. From the Finder, click the Go menu, and then click Connect to Server.
  2. In the Server address text box, type one of the following URLs:
    • To connect to the Web Disk using an unencrypted (cleartext) connection, use the following URL: http://example.com:2077 Replace example.com with your web site's domain name. Copy the modified URL and paste it into the text box.
    • To connect to the Web Disk using an encrypted (SSL) connection, use the following URL: https://example.com:2078 Replace example.com with the domain name that your web site uses for SSL connections. Copy the modified URL and paste it into the text box.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Type the username and password for the Web Disk account.
  5. To avoid retyping your username and password when you access the Web Disk, select the Remember this password in my keychain check box.
  6. Click Connect. The Web Disk home directory will appear.

These instructions are applicable to Mac OS X versions 10.4 Tiger, 10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, and 10.8 Mountain Lion. By following these steps, you will be able to access your Web Disk using Mac OS X and manage your files efficiently.
