To resolve the problem of forwarded messages not reaching Gmail, you can configure Gmail to access another email account directly. This eliminates the need for an email forwarder and allows you to access messages from the other account using your Gmail inbox.
Follow these steps to set up this configuration:
- Disable any email forwarders that you have set up to forward messages from your Turnuphosting account to Gmail.
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the Gmail settings icon (the gear icon) and select "Settings".
- Go to the "Accounts" tab.
- In the "Check mail from other accounts" section, click on "Add a mail account".
- Enter the email address that you want to access from Gmail and click "Next".
- In the "Username" field, enter the full email address of your Turnuphosting account (e.g., user@example.com).
- Enter the password for your Turnuphosting account in the "Password" field.
- In the "POP Server" field, enter your Turnuphosting server name. You can find this information in your account settings or contact Turnuphosting support for assistance.
- Select port 995 from the "Port" dropdown list.
- If you want to keep copies of messages on the Turnuphosting server, check the "Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server" box.
- Check the "Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail" box.
- If you want to apply a label to messages, check the "Label incoming messages" box and select a label.
- If you want to automatically archive new messages, check the "Archive incoming messages (Skip the Inbox)" box.
- Click "Add Account". You should receive a confirmation message that your mail account has been added. If not, double-check the information you entered in steps 6 to 10 and try again.
- Click "No" and then "Finish" to complete the setup.
By following these steps, you can bypass the issues with email forwarders and ensure that your forwarded messages reach your Gmail account without being blocked or marked as spam.
